Extended School Year (ESY)

Extended School Year offers additional academic instruction for students who are in need of additional services beyond the 180-day school year. The program is available to students of all grades, however, students in grades nine through twelve are eligible to earn credit for participation in the program. The type and duration of the ESY services are determined by the IEP Team and tailored to accommodate the individual needs of the student. Determining factors include, but are not limited to severity of regression during the interruption of educational services during the summer months, the nature and severity of the student’s disability, the student’s level of behavioral and social impairments, and the availability of other resources.

Schedule
The program is offered for six weeks throughout the summer months. The program is five days a week from 9 am to 2 pm. Transportation, lunch, and a snack are provided.
