Learn to Earn Vocational Program

Learn to Earn is an interactive, eight-week vocational program offered during the summer months to help youth develop the life and work skills necessary for a successful future. The program offers students ages 14 years and older the opportunity to engage in vocational exploration, assessment, and training in order to identify interests and strengths, as well as develop the skills necessary to seek, obtain, and maintain employment. Students in ninth through twelfth grade are eligible to earn high school credit for participation in the program.

Curriculum and Activities
The program’s curriculum focuses on three key areas that will lead to success in the workplace: the process of finding a job, the exploration of workplace expectations and environment, and the practice of workplace behaviors while participating in hands-on activities.

Schedule
The program is offered for eight weeks throughout the summer months. The program is five days a week from 9 am to 2 pm. Transportation, lunch, and a snack are provided.
